How It Works

Simple for Your Firm, Structured on Our Side

You do not need to redesign your workflow around us. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you send a file to the moment your reviewer signs off.

1

Send Us the Work

Share the client file, project, or accounting issue that needs attention. A short email is enough to start.

  • Accountant access to the QBO, QBD, Xero, or Wave file (you control it)
  • Any prior workpapers, bank statements, or notes you already have
  • What you need the file for and by when: tax return, CFO package, sale, audit, or just clean monthly books
2

We Review the Scope

Within one business day we come back with a clear picture of what the file needs and how we suggest structuring the engagement.

  • List of accounts and periods involved
  • Problems we spotted on first review
  • Information and documents needed from the client
  • Recommended structure: fixed project fee, hourly, or per client
  • Estimated turnaround
3

We Do the Accounting Work

Once you approve, we work through the bookkeeping, reconciliations, cleanup, or accounting tasks inside your systems.

  • Work happens in your file, not in a copy
  • We follow your chart of accounts and documentation standards
  • Progress updates on the cadence you prefer
  • Client questions routed through your firm unless you ask otherwise
4

Your Firm Reviews

We return organized work, supporting notes, and a clear list of open items for your team's review. Nothing is marked final until you say so.

  • Summary of what was done and what changed
  • Reconciliation reports for every balance sheet account touched
  • Open-items list for the client
  • Prior-period adjustments flagged separately
  • Revisions handled promptly after your review
5

Scale Up or Down

Send additional clients or projects whenever your firm's workload requires it. Pause when it does not.

  • No minimum commitment
  • Move between ad hoc, project, and ongoing structures as needed
  • Busy-season capacity without off-season overhead
The Handback

What Your Reviewer Actually Receives

The goal of every engagement is a file your reviewer can pick up without redoing the work. Every handback includes the same package.

  • Cleaned and reconciled file inside your accounting software
  • One-page summary: scope, findings, changes made, and remaining risks
  • Bank, credit card, and loan reconciliation reports for the periods covered
  • Balance sheet schedules for any account we adjusted
  • Open-items list with the exact question for the client, so your team can forward it as is
  • Journal entry log for prior-period adjustments
Communication

We fit your tools, not the other way around.

Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, TaxDome, Karbon, ClickUp, Asana, or a shared spreadsheet. We use whatever your firm already runs on.

  • Same-day responses on active engagements
  • Overlap with US business hours for calls
  • Weekly status note on ongoing work, or whatever cadence you set
  • No contact with your end clients unless you ask for it
Security

Your Client Data Stays in Your Systems

NDA before anything is shared

We sign your firm's NDA or provide ours before receiving any access or documents.

Access you control

We work through accountant-level access in your accounting software. You grant it, you can revoke it at any time.

No data downloads by default

Work is done inside the file. Where documents are needed, they are shared through your firm's secure portal or drive.
